Fertilization Program: In conjunction with leading local and nationally recognized horticulturist, Frisco Lawn Company has developed a fertilization and weed control program that will make and keep your lawn healthy, thick, and essentially weed free.  Fertilization - We only use top quality, timed-released, high-nitrogen, fertilizer.  The soils in Frisco are primarily high-alkaline clay.  Nitrogen is the element most often lacking in our soil.  Each year, beginning the first week in April, and continuing thru September (active growing season) it is recommended that your lawn be fertilized once every six (6) weeks.  This would be a total of five (5) fertilizer applications each year. Pre-Emergent Weed Control: Pre-emergent weed control can be either a spray application or granular application.  Pre-emergent herbicides kill or prevent many different types of nusance weeds and grasses from germinating from their seed form.  One of the primary reasons for pre-emergent application is for the prevention and control of Crabgrass.  We recommend three (3) pre-emergent applications annually.  One each at the beginning of March, June, and September.  Post-Emergent Weed Control: Post emergent herbicides are applied via spray, and only after proper identification of the weeds in your lawn.  Our licensed technician will review your lawn to determine what type of broadleaf weeds and/or grassy weeds are present, and apply a post emergent herbicide for the control of those weeds.  Price is free of charge and is available only with purchase of complete Fertilization Program and Pre-Emergent Weed Control Program.
